If you have a new kitten, who just came to your house and just left their mother and siblings this is the recipe for you!
Ingredients:
1/2 cup of LACTOSE FREE 2% milk
1 cup of your preferred type of HARD kitten food (BLUE BUFFALO kitten food is the best type)
I can of 3.0 oz (85g) soft kitten food; MUST be GRAIN FREE! (BLUE BUFFALO kitten food is the best type)
Cooking Directions:
Boil lactose free milk is small sauce pot for 5-10 minutes on low heat (you should start to see tiny brown/gold chunks in mixture). strain lactose free milk into a separate bowl, dispose of the chunky waist in strainer, wash sauce pot until all remains are gone and boil the remaining ( NON-CHUNKY milk on LOW again for 1-2 minutes or until warm. Soak dry kitten food in hot water until completely soft. Once the dry food has been softened add one tablespoon of the wet dry food to the boiling milk at a time, (still in sauce pot) once completely mixed in add can of soft kitten food to sauce pot, stir until completely mixed in take off low heat and let cool for around 30 minutes or until cool.
Feeding directions:
Feed small portions 4-5 times a day until food is gone and food is gone and your kitten should feel at home!
This food helps with the adjustment of your kitten to its new home, with the milk it is still reminded of the comfort of its mother, while still adjusting to its new food and the deliciousness of the mixture. Feeding smaller portions more times a day is also helping your kitten adjust as the mother cat feeds it kittens small portions various times of the day. This recipe should on be fed to kittens the minimum age of 5 weeks ( though you should not have a kitten younger than 8 weeks some people do) you should feed it at the minimum of this age because any younger it’s dietary needs are different. and the maximum age you should start feeding your new kitten the mixture is 20 weeks although it is well weaned from its mother by this time it may have still lived with her and needs to comfort to adjust. please do not feed the kitten more than three pots as if it is not adjusted by this time, your kitten may have serious Development problems ( especially in older kittens, if they are not adjusting quickly)
so you can start feeding your new kitten this mixture any time between 5-20 weeks but do not feed more than 3 pots max while adjusting! Although you can always make a little bit for a little treat once an a while as kittens AND cats of all ages LOVE this recipe!
